John W. Kummer, Esq. is a member of our municipal practice group. Mr. Kummer focuses his practice primarily in the areas of municipal prosecutions, municipal law, and land use.
Prior to joining Adkison, Need, Allen, & Rentrop, Mr. Kummer spent five years as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office and served as a clerk to Oakland County District Court Judge Julie A. Nicholson. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University and a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law with magna cum laude honors. While in law school, Mr. Kummer gained early litigation experience through the MSU Trial Practice Institute, as well as internships with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan.
