Condominium and Homeowners Associations

Adkison, Need, Allen & Rentrop provides a wide range of services for subdivision associations and condominium associations. We represent several associations and have handled virtually every kind of issue, from drafting and amending the Master Deed and By-Laws, to enforcement of restrictions, collection of delinquent dues, placing liens on property, voting issues, Board of Directors issues, and claims against condominium developers.

Michigan condominium law allows a process to collect dues from delinquent unit owners giving the Association a lien against the property. If done properly, the association will receive all its delinquent dues, and interest, and can also collect its attorney fees.

We have also addressed issues involving professional management of condominiums and subdivisions, bankruptcy issues, mortgage foreclosures, illegal or improper rentals of condominium units, dealing with contractors, damage to common elements in a condominium project, architectural control issues, and virtually every other facet of condominium and subdivision association work.
